OPERATING PROCEDURES

How does it work?

The Exporter must sign a membership and consignment agreement with Export Online, so goods can be delivered directly to the ¨smart warehouse¨ consignee address in the U.S., and then, Export Online will take care of the whole process.

Exporters prepare the goods according to the permitted limits for this type of operation in each country, and a DHL, FedEx or any other Courier company of your choice, will pick them up from your factory, warehouse, home or office.

The Exporter must first consult with the Courier if the material to be shipped to the U.S. is permitted and find the limits of weight and volume per shipment. The Courier company generally offers standardized boxes for shipments which use the ¨simplified method¨, commonly called ¨Door-to-Door system¨.

It is recommended that the Exporter opens an account with one or more Courier companies, and call them to schedule the pick up of goods. The Consignee will always be the Export Online warehouse facilities in the U.S.

To view an animated sequence of a ¨simplified export method¨ we recommend watching the video, an export-import sequence, at the Home page.

What is it meant by simplified method?

It is a service usually known as ¨Door-to Door¨ given by Courier companies (DHL, UPS, FedEx, IBC) that fall within certain limits, generally with a maximum of 110 pounds and a declared value up to USD5,000 per shipment. The limits vary considerably in each country.

Even if the warehouse facilities in the US are registered with FDA, which means it can receive and store food, beverages and cosmetic products, such products cannot be exported directly to the Export Online warehouse using this ¨simplified¨ export system.

Only if products have already been imported into the US using a Customs Broker, then they can be air or ground shipped to the Export Online ¨hub¨. The warehouse is not enabled to store alcohol or drugs.

For the rest of the items, the Exporter must always consult beforehand with the Courier Company and with Export Online, to avoid delays and unforeseen expenses while clearance US Customs.

What is the meaning of ¨Hub¨, ¨EMS¨, ¨CLOUD¨ and ¨Smart warehouse¨?

¨Hub¨ is a point of exchange and goods distribution center and simultaneously a device for sharing a data network.

¨EMS¨ is software used for commercial transactions, access to order processing in real time and control of deliveries.

¨Cloud¨ is a virtual space where they live and interact many independent operating systems.

¨Smart warehouse¨ is a physical storage of goods, stored on shelves or pallets, organized under software that controls every single stored article, and provides real-time information on inventory, order processing and shipment tracking data.

The Exporter receives information from most of transactions in real time by accessing a computer comfortably from a factory, store, home or office anywhere in the world.
