Our History


After 4 years working in the UK helping small businesses with exports, the company founder, an expert in foreign trade for almost 20 years, decides to change the business strategy and moves most of the operations to the U.S. territory.


Together with an old university mate, he decides to make a joint-venture with a U.S. company in the travel retail business.


The company starts helping small businesses doing retail through EBay and Amazon in the U.S.


Because of the economic global crisis during 2008-2009, foreign trade plunged and the joint-venture is dissolved.


The constant increase in the international freight costs, and a misscalculated budget to promote the company services, make the founder take control aquiring the 100% of the company. He signs a contract with a warehousing facility located in Westville, NJ. and starts receiving products from Europe to be promoted and sold in the U.S..


The company opens an account with UPS to offer its clients a faster and less expensive deliveries within the U.S. 48 continental States. The founder starts a series of business trips to Europe and South America trying to get fresh funds to cope with the increasing costs for keeping the service.


A new website is launched together with a program to give seminars to small businesses about the export simplified method. The warehouse moves to the city of Bristol in Pennsylvania with state-of-the-art facilities which provides the latest logistic tools for storage and deliveries.


The ¨smart warehouse¨ starts receiving products from companies in the UK and France to be distributed in the U.S. market, specially goods under the Travel Retail category.


The simplified export method gets globalized, and the company expands its connections with small exporters in more than 15 countries. New services like advertising on in-flight magazines are added. The warehouse improves the control over inventory with a high end EMS software system that identifies every single article stored. The Exporter can check online the inventory, sales information and deliveries from a PC or cell phone, at his home or office from anywhere.


A new responsive website with the latest features and connected with the most popular social media networks is released. The company starts adverting in Amazon Japan and attends the IFEMA Momad/Metrópolis Fair in Madrid, Spain , 9-11 September, 2016.


Export Online attends the World´s Duty free exhibition, organized by TFWA in Cannes, France during the month of October.


Export Online attends the World´s Duty Free Show, organized by TFWA, in Cannes, France, from Sep 30th to Oct 5th representing the famous Bravo Fashion brand (US) manufacturer of luxury handbags and sunglasses. Soon after the show EOL signs a contract with Capella Ind. (Sweden), distributors of the famous brand Lambretta for its line of watches for the promotion of online sales in the US, Canada and Mexico.


Export Online is present at the Duty Free Show of the Americas, organized by the International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores, celebrated in Orlando, Florida during March. A few months after the show, EOL announces the representation to sell the famous Be Relax brand of travel accessories in the USA online market. At the end of September it attends the TFWA show in Cannes, France incorporating Buckley London Jewelry to its portofolio of international brands.


After a promise start and with an important investment in online marketplaces like Amazon, EBay, Sears and Wish, sales are hardly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, which dramatically affected sales on all travel related brands represented by Export Online. All worldwide travel retail shows are canceled. During September EOL announces the representation of the famous Berjuan Dolls, manufactured in Onil, Spain, focusing on promoting the brand in the US online market for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
