After 4 years working in the UK helping small businesses with exports, the company founder, an expert in foreign trade for almost 20 years, decides to change the business strategy and moves most of the operations to the U.S. territory.
Together with an old university mate, he decides to make a joint-venture with a U.S. company in the travel retail business.

Because of the economic global crisis during 2008-2009, foreign trade plunged and the joint-venture is dissolved.
The constant increase in the international freight costs, and a misscalculated budget to promote the company services, make the founder take control aquiring the 100% of the company. He signs a contract with a warehousing facility located in Westville, NJ. and starts receiving products from Europe to be promoted and sold in the U.S..
The company relies on UPS to offer faster and cheaper shipping from the warehouse for deliveries to the 48 continental states. The founder undertakes a series of trips to Europe and South America in search of investments. During the TFWA exhibition in Cannes, France, a patented and revolutionary online sales system called DOSS®, Direct Online Selling System, is presented.
A new website is launched together with a program to give seminars to small businesses about the export simplified method. The warehouse moves to the city of Bristol in Pennsylvania with state-of-the-art facilities which provides the latest logistic tools for storage and deliveries.
The ¨smart warehouse¨ begins to receive products from the United Kingdom and France to distribute in the US, especially articles focused on the category called ¨Travel Retail¨. The service receives a warm welcome during the TFWA exhibition in Cannes, France.

Export Online attends the World´s Duty Free Show, organized by TFWA, in Cannes, France, from Sep 30th to Oct 5th representing the famous Bravo Fashion brand (US) manufacturer of luxury handbags and sunglasses. Soon after the show EOL signs a contract with Capella Ind. (Sweden), distributors of the famous brand Lambretta for its line of watches for the promotion of online sales in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Export Online attends the Duty Free Show of the Americas organized by the International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores in the city of Orlando, Florida, during the month of March. After this exhibition, EOL announces the representation of Be Relax, based in Paris, for its entire line of travel products in the American online market. At the end of September, it participates in the TFWA exhibition in Cannes, France, incorporating the prestigious designer jewelry firm Buckley London, based in Leeds, United Kingdom.
After a promise start and with an important investment in online marketplaces like Amazon, EBay, Sears and Wish, sales are hardly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, which dramatically affected sales on all travel related brands represented by Export Online. EOL obtains the representation of Mondraghi® (Italy) for its line of mini-wallets/card holders and announces the launch of Merlin® (UAE) during August, for its line of electronic products and gadgets, including the specially customized Apple Airpods Pro under the Craft by Merlin registered brand. It also confirms the intention to participate in the celebrations of the 30th Anniversary of the Aerovía Group of Companies, of which it has been an active member since 2012.
